Honors Drafting and Design Year Course 5 periods per week Credit Value 1 This course is designed for the student whose post high school plans include the study or employment in all fields of engineering, architecture, drafting or interior design. The course will include: advanced geometric construction, mechanical and engineering drawing applications, CADD drafting techniques and complete detailed architectural house plans. The student will learn problem solving techniques encountered in the specialized fields of drafting and design.






























































































































































































































































































Drafting and Design 1 Year Course 5 periods per work Credit Value 1 This course will concentrate on the specialized fields of drafting and design. The course will include units focusing on: geometric construction, mechanical and engineering drawing and architecture. The students will interpret and solve mechanical design problems as well as design a complete set of detailed house plans. Students will also produce drawings using the CADD system.






























































































































































































































































































Drafting and Design 2 Year Course 5 periods per work Credit Value 1 This is an extension of Drafting and Design 1. The student will study advanced methods, processes and techniques used in engineering and architecture. The course will include: advanced engineering drawing, mechanical systems, commercial design, structural design, restoration architecture, surveying and model building. In addition to developing advanced drafting and design skills the students will explore modern trends in building and design through hands-on and group activities.
